Bror Hjorth

I’m just starting to learn about Bror Hjorth (thank you Fogelsdog).

Bror Hjorth seems to be best known for his figure carvings. Hjorth was a professor of art in Stockholm and seems to have been well regarded during his lifetime. According to his bio “Hjorth moved to Paris in 1921 in order to become a sculptor. Brother Hjorth's painting changed through the artistry and can be divided into three more or less clear periods: the naively characterized paintings from the 1920s, the paintings that became Bror Hjorth's sales breakthrough with models in interiors and family pictures from the 1940s and the late paintings with clear dark outlines and whole clear colors from the late 1950s onwards.”
