A project I worked on while with the SNKRS team at Nike. SNKRS is all about the 'high heat launches', limited edition sneakers that often sell out immediately upon release. The fact that there was such high demand vs. such low inventory, consumers were getting frustrated. The brick & mortar (in store) experience has been notoriously rife with controversy.
The objective here was to integrate a brick & mortar solution with the new SNKRS mobile app. We wanted to continue to feature the original model developed where consumers could press a 'buy now' button and instantly make a purchase. But we also were mandated to support this new alternative, 'THE DRAW'. In this alternative buying approach, a user could enter a lottery system.
The UX below shows concept drawings from early meetings, a wire-frame, and the finished polished design. This was a multi team effort with many stake holders. The end design was worked through with the Nike Brand team.
1. Working with stakeholders, we brainstorm on initial ideas and come to some conclusions.
2. With stakeholders, I outline the UX. This example shows the flow we are planning to introduce.
3. Taking the flow discussed in initial kick-off meeting, I turn the flow into a wire frame (below: showing one page). This document is used to refine the idea and facilitate a green light for the project.
4. After project is Okayed by stakeholders I worked with the branding team to create a large design document for the developers. I also dived in and created user stories for the dev team.
