Charles Victor Guilloux

Guilloux was a mysterious guy. I can’t find a photo of him. I’m not sure how I feel about his work. I don’t think I like it, but there is something mysterious that he was trying to capture that I admire. I also like his earlier work more than what he produced later in life.

It seems as though Guilloux was self taught, was not in touch with other artists, and from what I can find, most of his work, if there was any, over the last 30 years of his life is mostly non-existent.

I’m adding this page, because I am thinking about Guilloux, what he started to explore… I think there is something good in all of it.
