THE END

'The End' is a series of drawings I'm doing. I'm thinking of a couple of things here. Old Hollywood movies and the 'THE END' that flashes for a few moments after the story is done. I am always taken back over the entire story arc, two hours of memories I contemplate in those moments as I rehash the story in my mind. For me, the words THE END instinctively has my brain hitting overdrive as I try to piece together a story. I hope pushing THE END on top of a narrative image as I have done will make the viewer step back and try to figure out just what the hell is going on.

I also don't think of this series as being completely THE END oriented. I don't have any finished drawings or paintings yet, just a few starts. I like the idea of taking advertising copy and placing that on top of an image. Maybe something where separately the two mean one thing and together they build towards something else. As I said, this is an ongoing series. I plan on fleshing it out with much more in the future.
