Mind Meld?

I was looking at this painting by Rodin. There is so much in this watercolor while at the same time its 3 shapes. Its really nicely done. I wish I could work watercolor like that.

Auguste Rodin (French, 1840-1917), 'Bathing Woman', 1900-02, pencil and watercolor on paper

However… did you see that hair? At first I thought it was a cat sitting on top of the ladies head and I spent a good deal of time trying to understand what Rodin was implying by placing the cat in such a position. It wasn’t until just now, while writing this, that I realize its not a cat but her hair.

So while thinking about what I had mistakenly read into this painting, I started to think about how I’m currently imagining the future.
