Objets Etranges #7
Goal:
I started this work in order to contemplate how to push Objets Etranges #1 -#4 over the finish line. Of course, it becomes its own work as time goes on.
End of Session 1
I like the raw lines, the white of the paper… something to come back to in the future.

When I look at what I did, it reminds me of a Basquiat painting.

This is where the fun happens. its also hard to know what to do. There is a lot of doubt and uncertainty.
My aim at this stage is to define details like that shape appearing from the base of the thing to the lower right. I like that. where did it come from? It just kind of forms because I’m layering shapes and colors.

At this point, I like the direction. But I’m losing something so I’m starting a new one.
I like heavy over saturated artwork. I think I appreciate the mark making and visible evidence of thought that accumulates over time.
I also like the lightness of the first stages of a watercolor…
Is there some way to have both?
