Outdoor Sculpture Study

I like this piece. It is a simple study, one of several that I worked on focusing on sculptures. There is a lot left to mine here. I’m working on a series of egg tempera paintings that are using this earlier body of work as inspiration.

I should be able to find many other quick drawings to add here from somewhere. I’ll eventually come across them and add them.

Inspiration:

I drew this piece and a couple of others while being inspired by the Pepsi Headquarters Donald M. Kendall Sculpture Gardens in New York. The visit I remember there were tables set up on the corporate lawn as corporate executives dined on lunch while surrounded by modernist sculpture & architecture. It was quite the show.
