Desolate City

I think this is a pretty good end result. There is a lot I like about it. I moved the car and guy quite a bit. I think I was working from a reference picture for the almost abstract buildings in the background.

This picture became more of a mark making exercise. I don’t think that I took the mark making far enough, I would like to have been even messier and moved things around more. I like the feel that arose due to the obvious changes.

I like the composition and the mood/space that was created here.

Detroit City Sketch - 2012

This is a rough test I did prior to the final.

You can see there is a little difference.

I’m not sure which I like more.
