1812 NW Flanders - 2026
This is an experimental process for me. I’m starting off by creating a sketch out doors. Then I’m taking it into the studio where I will slather it with muddy pigments until it feels done.
This is the end of Stage 1, in the field.
Ipad Sketch
I was thinking Hockney might be on to something with this ipad drawing thing he was touting… I decided this method wasn’t the best.
Long Pause 2024-26
After this step, I paused things.
This composition was speaking to me, I just didn’t enjoy the execution of the process at this time.
