Harold Haydon
I just found out about this artist, Harold Haydon. Wow, love his series of ‘binocular vision‘ pictures. Doing more research on and thinking about his art. Will update this sometime in the future.

Work From Haydon’s Career:
So far, what I am seeing are 2 periods in Haydon’s life where he focused on producing a body of work. In the 1940s, he created his first binocular vision pieces.
Then again, in 1952, Haydon tackled the binocular vision works with a looser raw approach. Almost all of the works were on the beach and revolved around figure studies. I find the work ‘Horse on Shore - 1952’ to be very strong.
Later Binocular Vision work:
It looks like Haydon continued playing with the idea. The Still Life and Study are very strong in my opinion. I’m not finding any large bodies of work from 1953 to the end of his life. Just a few works here and there.
Other Work:
Haydon had some decent landscapes. I like the Vermont - 1940 picture. City Street in 1952 and Standing Bather 1945 are well done.
Haydon had a series of ‘talking buildings’ that are almost abstracted city landscapes with a lot of words… kind of interesting.
Current Take:
I really like his 1940s body of work. He was all over the place exploring his idea. I am projecting, but I feel like he gave up, returned to the idea in the 1950s with a large more focused effort, gave up again.
I feel like Haydon gave up on himself.
