There are aspects of this that I like a lot.
Conclusion:
I could have taken this further. I didn’t for 2 reasons.
The rules I’m using in this pull it out of an abstract artwork into an almost kitsch place. I’m not against kitsch art, its just too literal for me. I didn’t want to disrupt the initial intent of the drawing either.
My mark making has changed a lot in the interval of time since the pause on this piece to now. I kind of like this as being a record of where I was at the end of 2022 or so. Not in a good place mentally or with the art making.
Someday, if Musk’s vision of infinite resources at our fingertips comes to pass, I think it would be a fun project for someone to imagine a space like this.
