Perriguey Estate
I undertook this study with the goal of having this be a part of a series of works based on houses of people I know. My intent was to figure out a composition at the place, take some reference pictures like the video below, and then puzzle out a finished composition at home.
I have started 6 works this way and so far none of them are working out for me. This is kind of frustrating. I did a work at my home ‘Philosophie de Pacotille 1’ and was happy with how that ended. But I was there looking and editing. It’s not the same if I’m so far removed from the subject matter.
I might come back to this at some point in the future. Its a great spot to look out on the world from.
