Art History App

Idea for an art history app that is also consuming for the user.

Elaborate on the Instagram feeds where there are several content creators posting 5-10 paintings by different artists every day. Problem with the INstagram idea is stats are starting to form on who likes what and how artists hold together in groups… but its not great.

1. User enters app. They log in. New user is added to database.

   1. Database User

      • User ID

      • Name of User

      • id of all images they have voted on or left comments on.

        • Vote score

        • comment

   2. Database Image

      1. ID

      2. Name of Image

      3. Link to Artist

   3. Artist Table

   4. 1. Link to Art movement associated with artist

      2. Born

      3. Died

      4. Lived where

….

General Idea:
User logs in.

• They are presented with an image.

  • How do you rank the image? 1-10?

  • User ranks image. can leave a comment, read what others have said. or skip to next.

• User is presented with another image

• User can view stats on an image or artist or movement. See: who likes which images the most.

Rule?

• User can’t open any image. They need to have it randomly presented to them before they can vote/comment. After they have voted/commented, they can go back and update their score. This is important so that users don’t focus on one Andy Warhol flower picture for example… they have to wade through 100000 images before being able to vote on that image.
