Starting Point: Yet another Didion picture

Objective:

Goal: Good composition.

End of Session 9

I feel pretty good about where this is at. It needs more pushing. A lot more. But there is the start of something I am liking at this point.

Francis Picabia 'Suzanne Romain', 1943

The more I find out about Picabia, the more there is to him as a thinker/artist. He bounced across many styles.

This picture really shows the ‘depth’ of a fully realized painting in my opinion. You can see the layers of color. It feels like he is exploring with every brush mark.
